		  <title>GPS Hash Project</title>
<description>The GPS Hash Project is a community project that sets forth to create a library of authenticated hash sets that are created by trusted sources using sound forensic techniques. The idea behind this effort is to give forensic examiners a hash set of operating system files such as, base maps, icons, voice files, etc… that were originally installed when the device was manufactured. This will allow examiners to “weed through” thousands of files and quickly identify which ones contain unique data such as device information and user specific data like addresses, phone numbers and tracklogs.</description>

<title>Small GPS Devices Help Prosecutors Win Convictions</title>

<title>GPS unit helped police with arrest</title>
<description>LONDONDERRY – If you are planning a high speed chase with police, don't leave the directions to where you are headed programmed into your dashboard GPS unit. And try not to get your mother involved. Hudson and Londonderry police charged Derek Deprato, 20 of Cambridge, Mass., with a total of 12 felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from his alleged actions following a traffic stop in Hudson just after 3 a.m. During the initial stop on Lowell Road near the Sagamore Bridge, Hudson officer Thomas Scotti noticed Deprato had an expired license. When Scotti went to approach the car, Deprato took off eastbound toward his mother's house in Londonderry. On the way, he tried to ram police twice. In the interest of public safety, Londonderry police broke off the chase when he made it across the town border because they had a good idea where he was headed. They lost sight of Deprato's car but later found he had crashed into a parked car on West Road in Londonderry. An officer investigating the scene noticed a Londonderry address programmed into a GPS unit in the car and had officers conduct a "knock and talk" at the residence, according to Londonderry police Capt. Bill Hart.
